Officially began on 5th January 2012, The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival became an opening year event that has many special attractions for tourist who visit as well as for the world’s ice artists. Many world-class artists who are competing to present their best creations in this event, and of course their great work become an attraction that appeals to the eyes of the visitors.

Has been held since 1963, this event is located at Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province of People’s Republic of China. Harbin is one of the sources of ice and snow culture in the world, with 21.2 degrees Celsius in summer and start from -16.8 degrees up to -38.1 degrees Celsius in winter.

There are several attractions beside the main sculpture exhibition. Start with ice lantern park touring activities which held in many parks in the city, Yabuli alpine skiing, winter-swimming in the Songhua River, and the ice-lantern exhibition in Zhaolin Garden.
