Tips: Natural Tricky Ways to Repel Snail Away
Spring is the favorite season for Snails. Do not be surprised if an army of Snails invade your plants when spring arrives. Snails love damp places, that’s why in the spring, they emerge simultaneously. To remove it, the pesticide can be a quick way. But, if you do not want to use chemicals, your can create your own natural herb Snails repellent. It’s quite simple and easy to create, let’s check the “how to”.
Salt, it is effective as a natural pesticide for Snails, they even die directly after their body touched by salt. Why it can be happen? According to osmosis, if a cell (plant or animal) has a low concentration of water inside the cell, then the water molecules diffuse (pass/penetrate) out into their surroundings to make up for this difference in cencentration. Dissolve two handfuls of salt in a small bucket of water. Splash it to the Snails body that disrupt your plants. Do this over and over again, for several days, until the Snails reluctant to give up and come back again.
Use garlic. Plant garlic in the yard or garden, prioritizing in the damp areas, which is often a gathering place for Snails. Bit similar with vampire, they hate the smell of garlic! If you do not want to be bothered with this garlic gardening , chop a few cloves of garlic and soak it in a bowl of water. Splash water onto the ground or a wall near your plants, the sharp smell of garlic makes Snails unwilling to close.
If you want to be bothered a bit, you can take the Snails and throw them one by one. And the results of these harvest snails can be use as natural forage. This way also fit for you who want to hurt them. Just take and release them in another place, on the grassland for example. Good luck!
