Bring the past to the future at La Concha House by MOOARC as a modern home

La Concha House has successfully brought the past to the future. Designed by The UK-based architectural studio MOOARC and located on the Island of Guernsey, this 15th old barn has been transformed into a great modern home. The house was developed as a fluid, three-dimensional plan inspired by ‘The Nolli plan of Rome’ 1748, as described by the architect. This house was later named “La Concha House”.

Blended the old structure with modern design, this house present something different. Start from the dining space and kitchen at the first floor continues to the living space on the mezzanine, La Concha House show us a unique blend between past and present. In addition, there are separate sleeping block linked to the barn via a glazed entrance piece as the other interesting side of La Concha House. Who said past will stay in the past?
