6 Steps to Keep Your Christmas Tree Fresh Longer
To keep your Christmas tree-both the real tree or artificial-fresh and looks great during their “show times”, there are several tricks you can apply.
1. Check the light istalation daily.
The heat from the lamp could make the real tree withered faster. You can bit spray the branches or leaves with water. Watch the electricity okay? For the artificial tree, the heat of the lamp can make the color faded and in extreem cases, even melt. For reducing the heat effects, you can move the lamp up or down from the former place, just a bit without change the whole decorations. Actually, you can use low heat lamp instalations to avoid the heat. But if you done already with the decorations, the previous advice it’s okay.
2. Cut the edge of withered leaf.
For a real tree, You can cut a bit on the edge of leaves. It can keep the apperance of the tree stay fresh a little longer.
3. Take your feather duster.
Yup, dust will comes to stay on your tree. Take your feather duster to move them out. No vacum cleaner here, or the ornaments will suck together with the dust. It avalaible for both kind of trees.
4. A carpet for the bottom.
Rool out a carpet or somekind of it, useless one if you have. It’ll help you to collecting fallen leaves easier from your real tree.
5. Open wide your windows.
Just for few minutes (it’s winter outside!), open wide your windows. Let the air flows to make your real tree keep fresh.
6. Keep on eye to the ornaments.
Make sure that you put the ornaments far from the light. The heat (once again) could burn them down. Most to the ornaments made from plastic, flanel and wood.
